Novation updates the firmware for its Launchkey range!

Firmware update 1.2 for the Launchkey range offers new features to make performance even more intuitive. This update is available to download via the Components software.

What's new?

The Play and Stop buttons now send 'Start/Stop' messages in real time via USB and MIDI when you're working without a DAW. If you're working with external equipment such as sequencers and grooveboxes, this is a welcome improvement. For the Launchkey Mini, simply press Play once to send a 'Start' message and press again to send a 'Stop' message.

Controls now light up in response to incoming MIDI messages that correspond to the values assigned to them, visually displaying their state, on or off, in response to incoming messages. Visual feedback is available for pads (Mini, 25 and 37) and fader buttons (49, 61 and 88).

Finally, you can now select which Fader, Pad and Port modes will be used when you switch your Launchkey back on, so you can get to work straight away. This feature is not available on the Launchkey Mini.
