EBS Welcomes one of Swedens most Acclaimed bass player and Grammy-Winning Producer!
Ulf Ivarsson
Ulf Ivarsson's journey into music began as an inspired 13-year-old, diving into the electric bass with the raging spirit of punk rock in his hometown of Gävle, north of Stockholm. His self-taught beginnings swiftly expanded as he played with local bands across genres like punk, reggae, blues, and jazz. This versatility opened doors to collaborations with notable Swedish artists, including pop icon Thomas Dileva, blues master Clas Yngström, and rock legend Thåström.
Ulf's prowess extends beyond performance, earning him a Swedish Grammy for Album of The Year 2010 for producing Thåström's album "Kärlek är för dom" and a Grammy nomination. His skill has attracted international artists, leading to projects with Norway’s Sivert Hoyem and Germany's Andrea Schroeder. Ulf has also pursued personal projects, teaming up with innovators like bass legend Bill Laswell and tabla virtuoso Talvin Singh, blending influences from electronica to ambient soundscapes.
Currently, Ulf plays on the EBS Classic 500 and Classic Line Cabinets, ensuring his signature sound continues to captivate audiences. As a member of the progressive rock band Paatos, he has toured with acts such as Porcupine Tree. With a new album set for release in spring 2025, and ongoing solo and collaborative performances exploring avant-garde music, Ulf remains a dynamic force in the music scene.
