Algam Benelux is proud to announce the distribution of the Ashdown bass amps!
It is with great enthusiasm that Algam announces the distribution of Ashdown products in continental Europe, the Maghreb and the Middle East since February 1st. In Benelux, Algam Benelux is pleased to welcome the British brand to its catalog.
Easily recognizable thanks to its VU-meters, Ashdown has made its mark in the Rock'n'Roll world since 1997 by offering bassists the best possible sound for the studio as well as for the stage.
Ashdown products are available in 5 series: Studio, Original, Rootmaster, ABM and CTM. Here is a quick overview of each of these ranges...
Studio Series
The Studio Series has been designed and engineered for the novice or advanced bassist looking for a portable solution while maintaining Ashdown's signature sound.
The Studio Series combos offer a variety of solutions ranging from 10 to 300 watts with speaker configurations ranging from 6.5" to 2 x 10" and of course the classic 8", 10", 12" and 15".
Original Series
On the side of the ORIGINAL series, we find compact, light amps which do not sacrifice power.
This series consists of the compact and lightweight HD-1 head and two 300 watt combos. The HD-1 has the classic features such as a DI output and a 5-band EQ. The combos are available in 12" and 15" sizes and have a tilted pan for use as monitors.
RM "Rootmaster" Series
This series includes a set of cabinets and transistor heads as well as a combo for intermediate bassists who are looking for a lightweight solution without compromising on power and sound quality.
The two 500 and 800 watt heads have the same features as the ABM series, i.e. a drive, a compressor and the Sub Harmonic function.
As for the baffles, there are different configurations in 10, 12 and 15 inches and in 4 or 8 Ohm depending on the model. They are all equipped with a switchable tweeter and the White Line drivers developed by Ashdown to offer exceptional clarity and performance in the lower frequency range.
ABM "Ashdown Bass Magnifier” Series
Is it still necessary to introduce the famous Ashdown ABM series?
The British brand started its history in 1997 with these amps. Since then, many professional bassists have adopted these versatile, reliable and unique amps.
The 300, 600 and 1200 watt hybrid heads all offer the same features. You'll find input gain, 9-band EQ and volume. They also have a compression, a sub-harmonic generator and an analog drive powered by a 12AX7 tube.
On the speaker side, they are built with birch plywood and have a leather cover and a metal protection grill, giving them a very high resistance on the long term.
CTM "Classic Tube Magnifier” Series
The CTM series is characterized by all-tube amps, with a pre-amplification section using ECC82 and ECC832 or ECC83 tubes and an amplification section based on KT88 tubes.
This type of heads allows you to obtain a warm and typical sound thanks in part to the additional harmonics brought by the tubes and to the excellent restitution of the playing dynamics.
There are four tube heads in the CTM range with 30, 100, 200 and 300 watts.
