HK Audio unveils a completely revamped version of the popular LINEAR 5 series, for optimal performance and user comfort.

Versatility in every sense of the word

The series consists of three versatile models equipped with 10" (LINEAR 5 MKII 110 XA), 12" (LINEAR 5 MKII 112 XA), and 15" (LINEAR 5 MKII 115 XA) loudspeakers, respectively, for use as stage monitors, as well as two standard full-range models equipped with 12" (LINEAR 5 MKII 112 FA) and 15" (LINEAR 5 MKII 115 FA) loudspeakers.

Their cabinet is a hybrid one, made of birch plywood and MDF. All these models are equipped with a bi-amplification in class D with a total power of 600 W rms.

To optimize the low frequencies, two subwoofers complete the series, equipped with 15'' (LINEAR 5 MKII 115 Sub A) and 18'' (LINEAR 5 MKII 118 Sub A) loudspeakers usable in cardioid mode (a function allowing to attenuate the acoustic pressure up to 34 dB at the back of the cabinets).

Manufactured in Germany and featuring the latest technological innovations, the LINEAR 5 MKII series is designed for professional groups and service providers seeking sophisticated, versatile, flexible and cost-effective tools for their daily work.

One of the major evolutions of the MKII version is the addition of a powerful DSP that can be controlled remotely with software via an Ethernet connection. In addition, HK Audio has made it possible to integrate loudspeakers that do not have their own DSP into the network.

The new models are also lighter and have smaller dimensions for easier handling. This is also an important advantage in times when truck space and environmental impact are important factors.

The LINEAR 5 MKII subwoofers form a solid foundation for the new LINEAR 5 MKII systems with their uncompromising performance and state-of-the-art integrated amplifiers. The DSP functions can be remotely controlled or simply selected via presets including cardioid configurations, giving the user a wide range of options for system configuration.

All settings available at any time!

The DSP CONTROL software allows remote control of all LINEAR 5 MKII components, from stage monitors to complete sound systems. The functions of the powerful integrated DSPs, such as gain, EQ, limiting, delay and polarity, are thus always accessible from the control room.

Components without their own DSP technology can also be connected to the DSP OUT of the LINEAR 5 MKII speakers and controlled remotely with the same ease. Each DSP OUT features a fully parametric 10-band EQ, high-pass and low-pass filter, delay, polarity switch, and limiter.

Package versions

The LINEAR 5 MKII are available as separate elements or as packages including waterproof protective covers. Three packages are available:
