Dealer in the Spotlight: Dirk Heijne
Our dealer in the spotlight today is Dirk Heijne. Dirk has been running a store in Krommenie for over 30 years now. He sells awesome brands like Martin Guitars, Lâg Guitars and smart guitars, Sterling by Music Man, Marshall and Schlagwerk. They also sell awesome string and accessory brands like Ernie Ball, Dunlop and Elixir!
Thirty years ago, Dirk Heijne and Wilma Zwart took over part of the music store from Dirk's parents. His brother continued selling TV and hi-fi. Dirk focused on LPs, CDs and musical instruments.

THE DIRK HEIJNE STORY BY WILMA ZWART
Wilma Zwart: "A lot has changed in the last thirty years. In the first few years the CDs were flying out of the store. We were short of space and moved to a larger store. That way we had room for an enormous collection of CDs and more and more musical instruments were added.
The market for LPs and CDs then slowly disappeared… In order to modernize, we developed a new direction. In 2006 we bought our current premises. There was no more business for the CDs. But there was for musical instruments, guitar lessons and sound rental. Dirk regularly provides the sound at events. He also installs sound equipment at schools and companies.
We also offer service and repairs. With that you offer a lot of added value as a company. Dirk provides the service as standard when you buy a guitar. People come back because of this service and because Dirk can repair almost anything.
We have all kinds of guitars here in all colors: classical, western and electric. The ukulele is also very popular
We do a lot to make sure that people find it fun and enjoyable to come to our place. And that works. People enjoy coming to our lovely village of Krommenie, where you don't pay parking fees.”
