AB Team Gear: Fred's Martin Guitar GP-014

A while ago, we have introduced all our team members on social media. Now, it’s time to present their musical gear. Today, our Senior Sales Consultant for BMI, Fred Visee, will show off one of his acoustic guitars. Fred has multiple acoustic guitars, but as a huge Martin fan, he likes to show us the Martin GP-014.

Fred started working for Algam Benelux in 2005. This is when he first got in contact with the brand Martin Guitars. At this moment, Martin was not very present in Benelux music stores. “Nowadays, there are a lot of Martin dealers in Benelux with beautiful stocks!” according to Fred.

Fred: “I was attracted immediately to the quality and the famous history of the brand. Since I was close to the source while working at Algam Benelux, I was able to visit the Martin factory in Pennsylvania several times and admire the rich stock of Custom Shop guitars.”

“It was impossible to make a choice in the factory. But I did. I fell for a Martin GP-014 with an Adirondack spruce top and East Indian back and sides. The guitar has a beautiful rosette inlay and top painted in tobacco burst with many details. It also came with a unique case!”

“The best part: there are only 5 of these guitars in the world and that is one of the reasons that this Martin became a nice addition to my private collection of guitars. Not only the looks are great, but the sound is incredible as well. Ofcourse, this is to be expected from a guitar of this kind.”
