AB Team Gear: Dries' Sterling StingRay4

A while ago, we have introduced all our team members on social media. Now, it’s time to present their gear. We will continue with our Marketing & Project Coördinator, Dries Vandewauw. Dries started playing the guitar at a young age, but never challenged himself to play the bass. Until now…

Sterling by Music Man Stingray 4

“I play guitar and recently taught myself to play the piano. I thought I didn’t need a bass to make music and I didn’t see at as a challenge because I can already play guitar. At that moment, it was just a 4-stringed guitar for me… but boy, was I wrong!”

“I became tired of writing my bass lines on a Novation MIDI keyboard. It worked great for a long time but eventually, it just didn’t feel as natural as playing a bass guitar. So, when the Corona lockdown started, I had a lot of time on my hands to make music and I decided to buy a (relatively) cheap bass guitar, the Sterling Stingray 4.“

“This bass guitar is amazing when it comes to price/quality ratio. Also, the fading Ruby Red Burst Satin color is soooo satisfying to watch. I strongly recommend this bass guitar for all beginner bass players like myself! I really underestimated the difficulty of playing bass because there are so many styles of playing it.”

“I wanted this guitar to be part of my interior because of the great look. That’s why I bought a K&M stand with it and it fits perfectly. I now can record my bass lines using a Focusrite 4i4 and some Ernie Ball Flat Ribbon Patch Cables. There hasn’t been a moment of regret!”
