The inspiration for this new limited edition is the year 2024 itself, as it represents a leap year that corresponds to the four-yearly calibration of our human calendar with the solar system.

Specificaties

The 8 planets of our solar system are represented on the fretboard along with our Earth and its orbit around the sun. The sun itself is represented on the 12th fret, and its light, the source of energy for our solar system, is represented by pale shades projected onto the body and head of the guitar.

The work of Japanese instrument makers

The bracing on this NEX pan coupe is individually selected and tuned by Takamine master luthiers. The black carbon bridge was chosen to blend perfectly with the original texture of the cosmic ensemble, but also for its unique ability to transmit sound as effectively as a bone bridge.
