Raise your voice with The Realist microphones!
Consider The Realist to amplify your instrument! Created and designed in New York by David Gage and Ned Steinberger, The Realist brand provides musicians with the tools they need to amplify their instruments.
Without the need for a pre-amp, they are designed to be discreet and easy to use, to reproduce the sound quality and musical personality of your instrument.
The brand has developed a specific technology to achieve a high quality offering without sacrificing the natural, acoustic aspect of the instrument. Copper-plated piezo plates are placed under the bridge, as close as possible to the soundboard, and pick up the vibrations of the strings, which are then translated into an electronic signal and transmitted to the jack.
Advances in this technology have led to the creation of three different binding ranges. Whatever the mounting system, the CopperHead, SoundClip and LifeLine series are truly talented amplifiers.
CopperHead
The CopperHead range, available for violin, viola, cello, double bass, archtop guitar, mandolin and banjo, is the world's best-known amplifier for acoustic instruments. The Woodtone version, for double basses with a wooden piezo as opposed to the copper of the Copperhead series, provides a more woody, matt sound output.
SoundClip
Soundclip products, on the other hand, are easier to attach. Equipped only with a clamp, these practical microphones don't compromise on sound quality. Available for violins, violas, cellos and double basses, this model includes a volume control knob directly on the adjuster for the latter two.
LifeLine
The Realist also offers LifeLine pickups, which enhance the sound of double basses with a simple attachment to the adjustable bridge screw.
Docking Station
Bassists will also be able to control their volume simply by using the Docking Station, whatever microphone they're using.
