Dealer in the Spotlight: Hampe Prinz

Today’s music store in the spotlight is Hampe Prinz in Amsterdam. This shop exists since 1842 and has a very rich history. You can see the previous owner, Tom van Berkel, jamming on a acoustic guitar. He occasionally does reparations for customers! They sell great brands like Sigma Guitars, Vic Firth, Schlagwerk, Van Doren and a lot of string and accessory brands.

Jeroen Steverink and Ronald Timmer are the current owners of the store. Two very experienced guitar salesmen and repairmen who decided to start their own shop, after having worked for almost 20 years in different music stores.

The result is a beautiful and accessible guitar store for everyone, with an extensive and balanced stock, and a reliable service and repair department. The guitars are ready to be tried out and there is a cozy corner with coffee, LPs and T-shirts.
