AB Team Gear: Bert's Focusrite Scarlett 18i20

A while ago, we have introduced our team members on social media. Now, it’s time for them to present their musical gear. Today’s turn, Account Manager for AB Audio, Bert Delafontaine. When he was younger, he repeatedly 'stole' his dad's guitars and amps from the living room.  Nowadays, he needs an interface to record a lot of instruments because of all these instruments… The perfect fit? A Focusrite Scarlett 18i20.

After playing in several bands, Bert chose to focus on a job in the music industry. Bert did a two-year full-time course in 'Audio and Lighting technology' and worked as a freelancer for five years. These experiences ensure that Bert knows today's ins-and-outs regarding audio and lighting!

“This is still a Scarlett 18i20 from the first generation. This one is already flawless so the new generations must be perfect!” Bert said.

Bert: ”Choosing for a Scarlett 18i20 was pretty obvious. Focusrite is known for its great quality and I needed an interface with a lot of inputs. The interface delivers a great job when recording drums and rehearsals. It’s also great that I don’t have to re-patch when recording multiple channels. I got the 18i20 6 years ago and I would definitely buy the 3rd Generation, if this one ever stops working!”
